I graduated high school from Grand Island Central Catholic and earned my bachelor degree from Wayne State College. While at Wayne I lettered three years in football for the Wildcats. I have my master’s degree in counseling from Kearney State College (UNK). I completed my administrative degree from Wayne State College.
I am starting my sixth year at SEM and my 39th year in education. Prior to SEM I was a counselor at York Middle School for four years. I was a principal on the Santee Sioux Reservation in Santee for 2 years. I worked 14 years as the high school counselor at Grand Island Northwest where I coached several sports and started the boys soccer program. I worked on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico and lived on the foothills of Colorado. Through all my travels, I am most excited to call SEM my home! I have been married for 38 years to my best friend Shelly. We have two children Nate (35) and Ryan (31), both are living in Norfolk. Nate married his high school sweetheart and they have two children. Christian (7) has his mom’s red hair and was born on St. Patrick’s Day, our little leprechaun! Gabe (6) is our little pistol with the biggest heart. Ryan, our youngest, is the proud father of our little caboose of the family, Ryker (5). The three grandchildren keep my wife and I busy and we wouldn’t want it any other way! I live for the fall and college football, I am a die hard Husker fan. I enjoy working in my yard and woodworking. It's a great day to be a Mustang! |
